Candidates sought for Thomaston’s Citizen of the Year
The Rotary Club of Thomaston once again seeks to recognize a local citizen who actively demonstrates Rotary’s motto of “Service above Self”, with a banquet in April held in honor of the recipient.
The Citizen of The Year Committee is currently seeking the public’s input to nominate a candidate for consideration as the next distinguished citizen of Thomaston.
The nominee should be an individual who has exemplified themselves by actions, given freely and unselfishly of their talents and time in order to benefit others and the community.
Last year’s recipient was Betsy & Bill Edwards. This will be the Club’s 42nd event in which a deserving citizen will be recognized.
The Rotary Club of Thomaston, a 501-C-3 organization, actively supports the community’s needs with its’ Fuel Fund, Crisis Fund, Community Grants, as well as the Scholarship Fund which this event’s proceeds will directly benefit.
Nominations must be received by February 16, 2025.
