One Day. One Focus: Ending PolioWorld Polio Day is a time for Rotary members, public health advocates, and all who want a world free from polio to come together, recognize our progress in the fight to end polio, and talk about the actions we need to take in order to end polio for good. All donations are matched 2:1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, tripling your impact! |

Our Rotary meeting on Thursday, October 30th will be a little different — we’ve organized a field trip to the Thomaston Historical Society, which is located on Level 6 of the Town Hall. We’ll start by having lunch with 6–7 Historical Society members who are joining us, and then head over together (by foot or ride) for a tour of their space. The Society has been busy organizing boxes of items donated by Thomaston residents, and they’ve created a wonderful display throughout the room — with pieces on the walls, in cabinets, on mannequins, and even more treasures stored in their archive room. It’s truly impressive how much history they’ve preserved, and I think our Rotarians will be amazed at the variety and volume of items on display. |

New Evening Meeting Option To better serve our members and friends of Rotary, we are adding an exciting new option to our meeting schedule! As scheduled by the Club, the traditional lunch meeting will be replaced with a 5:00 PM evening gathering at Black Rock Tavern. Instead of a full meal, guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres in a relaxed, social atmosphere. This change is designed to make Rotary more accessible to those who cannot attend during the lunch hour, while also offering a fresh and engaging way to connect with fellow members and prospective members. We look forward to seeing you at an upcoming evening meeting! |
