Our Rotary meeting on Thursday, October 30th will be a little different — we’ve organized a field trip to the Thomaston Historical Society, which is located on Level 6 of the Town Hall. We’ll start by having lunch with 6–7 Historical Society members who are joining us, and then head over together (by foot or ride) for a tour of their space. The Society has been busy organizing boxes of items donated by Thomaston residents, and they’ve created a wonderful display throughout the room — with pieces on the walls, in cabinets, on mannequins, and even more treasures stored in their archive room. It’s truly impressive how much history they’ve preserved, and our Rotarians will be amazed at the variety and volume of items on display.
