DESCRIPTION:The Rotary Club of Thomaston once again seeks to recognize a l
 ocal citizen who actively demonstrates Rotary’s motto of “Service abov
 e Self” at a banquet held in honor of the recipient on Thursday\, April 
 25\, 2024 at Grand Oak Villa\, Oakville\, CT. The Citizen of The Year Com
 mittee is currently seeking the public’s input to nominate a candidate f
 or consideration as the next distinguished citizen of Thomaston. The nomin
 ee should be an individual who has exemplified themselves through altruist
 ic actions\, given freely and unselfishly of their talents and time to ben
 efit others and the community. This will be the Club’s 40th event in whi
 ch a deserving citizen will be recognized. Last year’s recipient was Geo
 rge P. Seabourne. Nominations must be received by February 17\, 2024. Wr
